Having committed to the ministry of teaching and habits essential for spiritual maturity, I commit to:
•Prepare for ministry by maintaining my personal relationship with Christ and fostering community in our church (e.g. regularly attending a weekend worship service, participating in a Community Group, and committing to Hope membership which is required for Lead Teachers).
•Support the teaching ministry by praying for the church and Children’s Ministry staff, other teachers, and specifically the children in my ministry.
•Take advantage of any equipping and encouragement opportunities (watching training videos, attending trainings, etc.)
•Teach according to the doctrinal statements of Hope Community (will be provided upon completion of this application).
•Follow all the policies and procedures established by the Children’s Ministry Volunteer Guide (will be provided upon completion of this application).
I certify under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of Washington that the foregoing is true and correct. I understand that a national background check will be made by Hope via Backgrounds Online and agree to provide any and all necessary personal information.
I understand that if I am employed or work in a volunteer capacity, and should my character or morals be inappropriate and/or criminal, my employment or volunteer assistance shall be “at will” and that Hope Community shall be entitled to terminate my employment or volunteer capacity at any time, without cause or prior notice, regardless of any other oral or written statements by Hope Community prior to, at or following the date of employment or commencement of volunteer services.
